It is as difficult for me to write this review as it is to explain why Sebald’s work is important to me. I want to write in great length about all the elements which I liked – the image juxtaposition, the use of black and white versus color, the narration. etc. But always, as confronted with anything Sebaldian, I cannot express exactly. I am moved within. It is a well-made and thoughtful film which captures Sebald’s intriguing mix of obliqueness and force. I cannot say much else. I hope that you are all able to see it.
