This film is currently on my mind for many reasons, but I usually turn to it anyway around this time of year because it wonderfully captures New York during the holidays: the lights, the Christmas trees being sold on the street, the crisp air, dressing up for the New Year. The soundtrack evokes Christmas for me, though it only has one Christmas song (Winter Wonderland) on it! That’s the beauty of film.
